The idea of a centrally planned economy was presented by its promoters as not only ethically superior, by eliminating exploitation, but also as more efficient than the market. It's one of the reasons why most of the former colonies in Africa, America or Asia have adopted such a system after they gained independence. Even today, the idea still persists that the communist system (including central planning) was a good idea baddly applied. The logical conclusion is "let's try it again!". But in reality, the problems of communism are not only practical, problems of application, but also theoretical, in other words logical and structural. Consequently, communism was not a good idea badly applied, but a bad idea "well" applied.
